According go the report, Israeli forces dropped 153 tonnes (337,307 pounds) of bombs on targets in Gaza in response to what it said was a ceasefire breach by the Palestinian group Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told parliament Monday (Oct. 20)."One of our hands holds a weapon, the other hand is stretched out for peace," Netanyahu told members of the Knesset. "You make peace with the strong, not the weak. Today Israel is stronger than ever before."Israel said Sunday (Oct. 19) that it had launched a wave of air strikes against targets in Gaza after two of its soldiers were killed in an attack by Hamas. The Palestinian group denied any knowledge of the attack.

Bibi is a very great leader who understands his environment and the kind of enemy he is dealing with. Hamas is acting as if they are going to be a player in the future of Gaza. Israel is never going to allow it. So the war will continue, and the Palestinians will suffer.

The situation in Gaza is extremely complex and painful for everyone involved. It is understandable that Israel would act forcefully in self-defense, especially after attacks that cost the lives of its soldiers. However, the response of 153 tons of bombs demonstrates the severity of the conflict, but it also raises many questions about the humanitarian impact and the number of civilian lives affected. Netanyahu, as leader, seems to have a clear strategy of projecting strength, but it is also important to remember that violence perpetuates more violence. Peace in this region requires diplomatic solutions and dialogue, not just military power. The civilian population, both Israeli and Palestinian, suffers greatly in these clashes, and ultimately, peace would be the best option to avoid further tragedies. History shows us that armed conflict only brings more pain, and seeking paths to understanding must be a priority for everyone.
