Binance delist Monero.jpg

The Binance exchange has announced that it will delist several cryptocurrencies such as Monero (XMR), Vaiot (VAI), Multichain (MULTI) and Aragon (ANT) on Feb 20 2024. So to all DBucks members, if you store some of the cryptos I mentioned above on Binance, please withdraw them immediately to your personal wallet or immediately swap to other crypto. Although on social media X, many users protested or criticized why Monero had to be delisted from the Binance exchange. Binance Exchange is considered not transparent and there is no communication with the community, users also consider this to be an attack on privacy because Monero has high anonymity.

Binance is a business organisation and I am sure that they are being pressed to delist Monero to be able to continue doing business. There is honestly nothing Binance can do now than to abide. It is not a matter of transparency. The users won't be there to help them fight authorities when they start coming.

the main reason has to be the regulations since XMR Monero is an untraceable and untraceable cryptocurrency and states do not like that due to the fear of possible money laundering, but if this is the case they should also ban Zcash, Secret network and others.

Not only the Binance exchange but also the influence on crypto exchanges that have been acquired by Binance, I just opened my email and got a notification that TokoCrypto will also delist the same crypto as Binance, and starting Feb 21, 2024 will not accept deposits of coins that have been delisted , but members are given the opportunity/time until May 21, 2024 to make a withdrawal or swap with another crypto.
