Gender Based Violence has become a silent epidemic that hides behind closed doors the question is when will the community truly say “enough”? Many victims suffer in silence because of fear, stigma, or lack of support. To prevent GBV, communities must create safe spaces where victims can speak out without judgment leaders, churches, and youth groups must engage in open discussions about respect, consent, and equality.

It's painful to see how gender-based violence continues to be such a present reality, yet so silent. Many victims don't speak out of fear, shame, or because they feel no one will believe them, and this only strengthens the cycle of abuse. Therefore, the community has an enormous responsibility: we can't continue to look the other way. It's urgent to create safe spaces where victims can express themselves without judgment, and where they know they will receive real support, not just empty words. Churches, schools, and local leaders should be the first to encourage open conversations about respect, consent, and equality. Talking about these issues isn't an inconvenience; it's a necessity. When the entire community truly says "enough" and acts together, it will be the first real step toward breaking the silence and eradicating this form of violence.
