If you are a busiess owner, how do you build rapport with your employees and customers without manipulative actions? We are doing this rapport Because we tend to believe and follow people we like. People who know how to persuade without resorting to manipulative tactics know the power of connection. They know how connection opens up an avenue for communication. This builds trust and confidence in the people you are dealing with. It also means that you have to accept the ideas of the customers and employees and suggestions from others. Both of you will feel connected to or from each other. Try to understand and acknowledge the other person’s perspective and emotions. This way helps you get connected to the community and the people in the community will like you and give you their 100 % support.

The employees and customers have minds to assess if they're manipulated. In this digital age, people are hard to manipulate except those who are insecure.
Very true, these days people have easy access to informations which has made it hard to fool them.

I guess that's a good thing then :)

In our daily interactions, we often try to convince or influence others in different ways. Persuasion should ideally result in a mutually beneficial outcome, where all parties gain something positive, for the business, employees and investors.
So, to answer your question, the process of persuasion should be conducted with integrity, meaning honesty, fairness, and adherence to moral principles.

Manipulation may also be effective to arouse the interest of the employees and customers. Though manipulation is not a good thing, but some situations need a manipulative action to accomplish something important.
