Businesses are not punctual in opening in my city. What of yours?

I went to a restaurant in my city and asked for soup by 9am. The operator and staff looked at me awkwardly. And they told me point blank that I can't get anywhere to eat soup in this city till around 12pm. I was shocked.

It is the same tale for other kinds of businesses in my city. You can hardly see a barbing salon to have a shave at 7am. You can't buy foodstuff from shops till 9am. I see a market gap to exploit. If I open businesses that are punctual, I could make money.

Are businesses this late in your city?

Over here it depends, there are some that open extremely early while some do not, some even open as late as 10am.

My own city never sleeps. It is not a case of opening early. Businesses don't even close except for corporate kinds of businesses.

I can't live in a city where people run businesses lazily. It would hamper your productivity as a worker or a co business person.

Well, in my place big businesses and government services open timely. However, small businesses have their own opening hours

Here, most big companies open at 9 am. Other businesses set their own opening hours. Some restaurants and bakeries my open early at 7:30 am for poeple to have breakfast. We also have convenient store which operates 24x7.

In smaller cities and towns usually businesses open at 10 am or later. In larger cities, business owners are paying a higher rent, so they open their business early at 7 am or 8 am .

How can a business open by 10am? What are they going to sell? Such a place is not a commercial city that business is viable.

I have always opened my business place as early as 5am when we are making sales. It is indiscipline for a business to open very late.

As far as there is no pressure from the market for the business to open early, it is very difficult for businesses to adjust and do so.
