According to the report, a Fairfield Township man is accused of faking his own kidnapping to get drug money. Patrick Edsall faces theft, inducing panic, and child endangerment charges.

The report also stated that Edsall allegedly told his 71-year-old father-in-law that he'd been kidnapped and needed $200 for his release on July 30. He was even entered into a crime database as a critically missing person.

The report added that his father-in-law sent him $100. Police found him on July 31. He admitted that he made up the story because he'd relapsed and wanted to buy drugs, according to court papers.

Edsall faces child endangering charges for leaving his seven-year-old son home alone for hours to buy drugs.

Am not even surprised when i see or hear things like this, cause with everything going on, it is very possible.
I pity his 7-year-old son left alone for many days. I wonder what he eats during those days. Pitiful baby. Drugs kill, and why do some people take drugs? They are insane.

This is what is happening now even here in my country one fakes hers and used the Rasom money to travel out
Nah, it's a real happening especially the insurance. Many fake their deaths to be able to claim the money through their spouses but once they are caught, the price is prison.

His father in law sent him $100 he was thinking about his 7 years old grandchild left alone. It's better for the court not to allow the drug addict father to keep his son. He might lured his son to take drugs.
