Cambodian Central Bank Allows Stablecoin

Reading the daily news, Khmertimeskh.com (Dec28,2024) that starting today the Central Bank of Cambodia or The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) allows commercial banks and non-bank financial institutions to conduct Stablecoin transactions, both receiving, depositing or sending to other parties, however, the Cambodian central bank still prohibits crypto transactions such as Bitcoin, Ether, BNB etc.

In my opinion, this is the initial step of the Cambodian government to acknowledge and be friendly to the crypto world, because until now the Cambodian government is still shrouded in negative stigma and crypto crimes, especially those that arise from the darknet.

That's how they would move from allowing stable coins to allowing bitcoin and from there, to select Alts. Crypto is winning.
