Can I decide against being part of the trade union body in my country as a small business?

My country has a trade union where businesses organizations are part of. The purpose of this Trade Union is always to protect the interest of businesses. However, the Trade Union can declare a strike and force all businesses to close.

Can a small business opt out from being part of the Trade Union of a country?

As a small business with just very few staff like 5 in number, you can decide not to be part of trade union. But corporate businesses can't decide against that.

In our country, you are not legally bound to join any trade union. All you need is business registration and required permit.

I don't think it is a must in most cases, but joining these groups would definitely have it's advantage as well.

I am not part of any trade union. It is not by force to join it. And the thing is politicized nowadays.
