Can we punish pets?

Although I haven't had a pet in a long time, I never reprimanded the one I did have when he frequently caused mischief around the house. Although I recognize that their minds are not like ours and that I am powerless to correct it, it nevertheless irritates me occasionally.

Pets need to be disciplined and never punished. Most of our pets we had no issues with Cats are independent and are self disciplined

I don't have pets so I can't give a personal experience, but i believe it's possible to punish pets, i have seen it happen in videos.

Some people punish their pets, but I could never do that to mine. I love my pets so much. They have been my loyal companions for many years, and I would not trade them for anyone else.
