Canada beefing up its Arctic patrols makes sense given the Arctic's rising importance. What really stands out is how climate change is creating new passages and resource opportunities. I find it cool that Canada's protecting its turf while still playing nice with its friends. What's wild is how fast the Arctic went from being a backwater to a key area. The main thing, for my money, is making sure these patrols stay defensive and don't stir up trouble. I reckon Canada's smart to get ready for what's coming.
