According to the report, in a rare and shocking turn of events, Taif, Saudi Arabia, has been hit by devastating floods after days of heavy rainfall. Known for its cooler climate, rose gardens, and fruit orchards, Taif usually thrives on light seasonal rains—but this time, the skies unleashed more water in just a few days than the city often receives in months. Streets turned into rivers, vehicles were swept away, and entire neighborhoods became submerged under torrents of muddy water. The disaster has exposed the vulnerability of desert cities built for drought, not floods. Roads crossing dry wadis—normally empty riverbeds—quickly filled with dangerous currents, while hardened soil failed to absorb the deluge, sending powerful runoff straight through populated areas. With infrastructure unprepared for such extremes, families and businesses are now left struggling to recover from a disaster few expected.

Mother Nature is very angry this time. There are many countries experiencing monster floods. There are signs of time. Floods are deadly.

Yes, we are facing flood situations in many places here. This year the flood is worse than the past. This may be because we have been playing with the nature
I saw in the news that India was attacked by another monster flood on August 16. I saw it in the news, and it was so scary. Hundreds plus were killed and missing.

This is heartbreaking. Taif is usually seen as one of the cooler, peaceful cities in Saudi, so seeing it underwater like this is shocking. It really shows how unprepared a lot of places are for climate extremes. My thoughts are with the families dealing with this

What a scary world we have at this moment. In my country, there are always floods. Today, there is a storm in Manila. Thankfully, there is none in my region.
Where I stay it is the heavy downpour that comes and then stops and comes again - never before have we experienced this

That was also what I was thinking about; it never happened in the past. It seems Mother Nature is very angry at this time.
