Money worship is the behavior of someone who views money as the primary determinant of success, happiness, and social/life status. Money is also an ultimate goal, identifying themselves with the wealth they already possess and must always maintain it. Therefore, they view money not only as a means of exchange to meet life's needs or as an investment instrument.
One of the weaknesses of money worship is that if they cannot accumulate the money and wealth they desire, they will resort to any means, including corruption, money laundering, and so on. Money worshippers tend to be consumptive and purchase luxury goods to demonstrate their abilities, social status, and gain recognition from society, rather than using money to invest and build for the future.
Furthermore, there are several characteristics of money worshippers, such as:
Dislike sharing/donating.
Not developing long-term goals or investing, building businesses, etc.
