Cheap computers no longer available

In January a large number of companies were selling cheap computers costing 50- 60 usd. In April these computers are out of stock. What could be the reason?

I wish I could find such deals for computer in my place. I would have bought like three of such computers.

They probably found a way to generate passive income from these cheap computers and are not interested in selling them at a low price for a one time profit.

Over here you can still find second hand computers for a cheap amount, but this is if you are simply looking for a computer for typing and minor work. For those into gaming, graphic designing and video editing, there are no cheap computers.

In my opinion, the Trump government's actions, which are waging a sort of trade war especially against China, from which most electronic components come, have meant that every technological device, and in particular CPUs coming from that country, have significantly increased their selling price to Western countries, consequently eliminating low-cost computers from the export market.​

With 200 dollars, you can get a very good laptop here in my country. And I think that is a reasonably cheap amount to get a computer.

Yes you are right, that amount can get. You a laptop no doubt, but if you are looking for a top grade laptop for heavy duty activities, that amount is definitely not enough.

Computers are very expensive. And it would even get more expensive as the days go by. Maybe, Chinese brands could be cheaper.

The affordable computers can only perform basic tasks and can hardly be used for multitasking. While some are still available here, they are hard to find.
