Police arrest suspected armed robbers terrorizing communities in Plateau



The Plateau State Police Command has arrested suspected armed robbers allegedly terrorizing communities in Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, Jafaru Sale, Abdulsalam Adam, and Mamuda Musa, were arrested after they attacked cattle traders and robbed them of N1.9m, all proceeds of the sale of their cows.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, disclosed this during a press briefing held at the Police Headquarters in Jos on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
 
Plateau state and Benue state are sitting on insecurity challenges. Since last ten years, these two states have been hotbed of insecurity. Thousands of people have been killed, maimed and butchered on these two States.
