Cost of starting a beekeeping business

I just finished watching a video on YouTube and I think I'm interested in starting a small honey production business keeping a few beehives. For those familiar with this type of activity, approximately how much money would be required to purchase the initial hives, protective gear, an extractor and other essential equipment? Also, any other tips for success in honeybee farming would be appreciated.

Not sure though but it's possible the equipments needed might be a little expensive, especially now with the current economy. You will also have to go through training on how to use these equipments and even this business in total.

You would be able to start a bee keeping business with nothing less than $3000. The hives are very expensive now and if you need a bee farm that would produce substantially, you would need many hives.

You can start locally and later upgrade to more advanced method. In some rural areas, they use local pots to do beefarming. You can make enquiries how they use to do bee farming locally in southern eastern part of Nigeria.
