A Wuse Magistrates’ Court in Abuja has sentenced Somto Ezeobi to one week imprisonment for stealing a Toyota Sienna vehicle.

The magistrate, Sadiq Mohammed, sentenced Ezeobi without an option of fine and warned him to desist from committing crime and be of good behaviour.

Yeah, one week feels light, but maybe the point was to scare him straight rather than ruin his record. Hopefully he actually learns from it.
