Creating wiki site

I have not started yet but I have a dream of building a wiki site, I aim to create a resource site where users can contribute with content creation. Have you ever build a wiki site? what CMS did you try? Did you try wordpress or something else?

I have not ever built a wiki site and i honestly do not plan to do so anytime soon.
