As the world is celebrating Valentine with gifts and celebration, Kenyan women is holding vigil against femicide. According to statistics, more than 46 women have been murdered in kenya in this year alone. This statistics is only for those killing that was on record. What of those killed in rural areas of the country?.
Kenya women hold vigils calling for end in violence against women with musical performance and dance. An organization called End Femicide Kenya Movement, a collection of more than 500 NGO'S and individuals. According to the organisers, that rising gender based violence call for concern and government must do more to safe vulnerable women from untimely death.
