Data used quickly when wifi switched on

Personally, I've noticed that when I use my phone as a hotspot, my mobile data usage spikes much faster than when I'm just using Wi-Fi. This caught my attention because I thought it was just about using the internet, but actually, when I share the connection, the phone works in the background, which can generate extra data consumption. Furthermore, many apps automatically update or download files in the background, increasing data usage without us even realizing it. I think the best option is to check which apps are consuming the most data and adjust the settings to limit automatic updates when using the hotspot. Also, if you don't need a very fast connection, disabling some background functions can help save data. Ultimately, using your phone as a hotspot tends to consume more data, and this is something to keep in mind to avoid surprises on your bill.
