The Davos Forum did something unexpected: it said Spain's public services and social safety nets aren't good enough. This has everyone talking in politics and the economy. What I think is important is that warnings such as these show the basic problems people deal with, like healthcare and schools. I worry that these problems could make inequality worse and hold back the country's long-term progress. The report is interesting because it comes when the world's unsure about everything. Being able to bounce back as a society is now super important to getting through economic and political problems. To me, it is important this is a wake-up call to make our public policies stronger and make sure people are better protected. Basically, Davos is telling us that stability depends on strong public services.
