A robot employed by the Gumi City Council in South Korea became dysfunctional after sliding down a flight of steps. While some represented the incident as a 'robot suicide,' others say it was more likely a technological error or mistake. The robot had been working "diligently" since August 2023, according to one of its colleagues.

It assisted with daily chores such as document delivery, resident information, and city promotion. Before the fall, observers noticed strange behavior, with the robot circling in one location, looking perplexed "as if something was there."

The incident occurred on June 27 at around 4 p.m., with the 'Robot supervisor' discovered injured and laying in the stairs between the first and second floors of the council building.
