Did the connection between your parents inspire you?

Since we didn't connect with the outside world much when we were younger and just had our parents as role models, I believe that many of us looked up to them in a variety of areas. In your relationship, are you bound by the same rules as your parents?

I believe the connection I had with my parents inspired me to want to be a lot better than them. They set a standard for me I want to reach and surpass.
