'Disastrous…’ US Allies Slam Israel’s Jan 30 UNRWA Ban, Trump Envoy Says ‘Others Can Do The Job’

According to the report, Israel's decision to shut down the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, in the country and occupied East Jerusalem by 30 January has drawn international reactions.

The report said that Israeli UN envoy Danny Danon stated that Israel would sever all ties with the agency, alleging it had been infiltrated by Hamas. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini warned the move would have severe humanitarian consequences, crippling aid efforts in Gaza.

The report added that the US backed Israel’s decision, with President Donald Trump reversing previous US support for the agency. However, allies such as South Korea and the UK reaffirmed their commitment to UNRWA, with the UK pledging £17 million to Gaza's recovery.

It is better not to reconstruct Gaza, It is better to remain that way. Once it rebuilt,the terrorists will create again another bunkers and weaponry. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. UNRWA has been given money time and again but do they account for that money?
