In the past, I spent my money on things I did not really need. However, when the pandemic started, I realized I should not waste my money on things I do not need. The money should be better invested or saved instead of being spent.
I think it's more advisable to prioritise on the basic necessities and the items that you use everyday on the households.
For some reasons, I was raised in a modest home. And I imbibed modest lifestyle. That's why I have not really been in situations where I am totally broke.
In some countries, experience is not valued and those who are not employees find it very difficult to make any money as they grow older. So it is advisable to lead a frugal and simple life, reduce expenses to the extent possible.

I have changed my lifestyle from extravagance to frugal or minimally lol. It's not easy to adjust but I am to it now and feel happy with my striving guts.
I spend on what I need but am fond of buying clothes.
I just want to live a simple and peaceful life. I do not spend on luxurious goods. The most money I spend is on traveling overseas because I love traveling.
