No one has the power to take away your happiness, unless you give them the power to. The moment you allow their words or actions affect you in a negative way, automatically you are giving them power over you to control you. Do not allow anyone have that much power over you.

If the happiness you mean is stopping you from loving someone they dislike then you have to weigh things first to avoid regrets.
