One thing in my country that is rampant is debt shaming. People that are perpetual debtors are mocked and humiliated in the society. It actually helps people to stay away from debts somehow.

Do they shame people that owe debts in your society? Do you think debts shaming is wrong or right?

Hi, interesting topic. In my country, the social stigma surrounding debt isn't as pronounced as in yours, but there is a certain amount, especially when someone consistently or irresponsibly fails to meet their obligations. I think shaming can be counterproductive, as it generates anxiety and can worsen people's financial situations instead of helping them solve their problems. I believe that instead of shaming those who owe money, it would be better to promote a culture of support and financial education. It's important to understand that debt is often the result of unforeseen circumstances or poor decisions, and doesn't necessarily reflect a lack of responsibility. Humiliation only increases stress and can discourage us from seeking solutions. Ultimately, I think debt shaming isn't the best strategy; the most effective approach would be to foster empathy and guidance in resolving these issues.

The way they would shame you for debts, you would pity yourself and never get involved in any kind of debts in the future.
