Do you personally check the entries in your financial statements like bank and credit statement manually, verify whether the entries are correct and the balances match, do you outsource the work to an accountant or do not bother to check the entries?

Yes, I am always doing that and I do not find any problem of their entries. It will be crucial if found and anomaly.

I sometimes find mistakes, after wasting a lot of time checking and rechecking the calculations, sometimes there is a formatting error, otherwise there is printing or software problem.

I like to check everything on my bank and credit statements before things get messy. I can't just believe everything is fine without checking.
