Do you Ethereum for transactions?

Ethereum has comparatively higher gas fees, therefore, a lot of people try to avoid using Ethereum to send or receive funds. However, if you use Ethereum on other networks like Base or Optimism, you can transfer Ethereum for a lower gas fees. Ethereum gas fees on Ethereum network is high but on other networks it is low. Have you tried Ethereum for sending and receiving funds?

@Nomad, I have just learned something from this your post. I avoid doing transactions with Ethereum like a plague. Didn't know there were alternative networks to send and receive Ethereum cheaply.

Even though I have Ether locked, I don't use Ether for transactions. So far I have never used a bridge from Ethereum to another blockchain. As far as I know, other than the destination blockchain will charge different fees.
