Most of my clients paid and were very good clients. I have only started doing it later after one that never paid, stopped answering phone calls, and changed all the credentials I was using when making changes to his web applications. There was not too much work involved, did not lose all that much but once I figured it could happen any time with any other project

I have some very trusted vendors like one carpenter who is the one to do all my furniture. We had few projects done with him in the past. His quality of work and professional attitude speaks loud. I go for 70 percent of the payment in advance with him without any second thought. But I am sure that I won't have that kind of trust with others. So, it actually depends on the situation.
