For me l like purchasing the most high quality and expensive electronic devices. Because these last longer and have guaranteed time for the usage. So they likely not to develop any problem for a very long time such that when it starts developing some issues l just replace it with another one from the same make buy surrender the old item, add some money on top of that and they get me a new device completely.

If I have the money to go for the best, I prefer doing that, rather than buying something cheap that would not even last long.
This idea is good as when you buy second hand bike then after few months, it will start causing problems. While if you purchase new one then you won't see mechanic till many years.
Repairs to smartphones and other gadgets are expensive, so I usually do not repair them. Only desktops are repaired replacing the motherboard or power supply depending on the damage.
I don't even think of doing such. I leave it to the engineers. Don't want to risk damaging my device because of DIY repairs.
