Do you prefer to purchase a new or used device?

I prefer buying new ones rather than used devices. My reason is because I have seen cases where stolen phones are sold to innocent customers, only for the original owners to track the phones putting the buyers in big trouble. Then again the device might not be in peak condition. Though when I first started buying phones, I started with second hand phones.

I suppose such a mishap happens when you purchase from a private and unknown (or fairly unknown) people. Surely, if you purchase a used device in the Amazon store, it would never be a stolen item.

I prefer a new device. I value my peace of mind so much and a new device would really help me achieve that.

I passed a stores here in the city where I live a store packed with second hand units like TV. I saw many people buying. I have bought one second hand TV for my sister. It's been three years now and the TV is still in good condition. Once you buy ask the age.
