Why is it necessary to protect your business idea? It is obvious that if you spread your business idea through word of mouth, expect your competitor to modify it and you will be like a dumb spreading your secret plan to boost your business. To be safe, you need to design on what idea you have invented, but for sure, you need design patent, a utility patent, or a copyright. It could be a graphic pattern, clothing design, or home decor item. A design patent protects a new, nonobvious design of products, and is mostly used for designs that are a slight variation or improvement on an existing product that are copied from yours, so it is very important to protect your business idea especially if it is associated with designs. They might be copied and considered their own by the plagiarizers. What can you say?

There is no business owner that never want to grow their business without others 'interruption. You will be interrupted once somebody copied your ideas. Don't expose your ideas to anyone even to a family member. It's crucial.

Of course, as long as it is in the form of an idea and the business has not been implemented, we should not discuss it with other people. If you do, the business idea will be taken and built by someone else, record it in a book, and look for the necessary information, create a brand patent.

@ Business idea is different from invention. All invention steam from idea. Therefore all invention is an idea. You can patent an invention but hardly can you patent an idea with no concrete evidence.
There are many ideas that have been patented. One of my husband's friend has two parents of ideas in the US. No concrete product or invention was made by him..one of his ideas have been transformed ( his idea was similar to this). into fast self check lanes in the super market. It was few decades back when he got it patent. He was just out of college and the idea was very novice then.
