Do you receive blank calls often?

Do you receive blank calls, often from a number you know? There is no one talking, only background noise is audible. Why could people be making blank calls?

No, I do not receive blank calls. If that happens, they may have accidentally dialed your number while their phone was in their pocket or bag.

I have received this several times, moet times it is usually a mistake on their end, they might have dialed your number by mistake.

I also received blank calls and when I checked the area code and country code most of them are from the USA. But my relatives told me they didn't do it. I'm wondering.

I have my phone set to silence all unknown callers, so I don’t keep track of blank callers nor do I answer them.
