Here in my location, most people buy their own blow driers and shaving machines. That means, most people does the hair in their own. What is your take on that?

It seems to be profitable but it is also very competitive. In my neighborhood there are over two dozen saloon

Yes the salon business remains one of the most profitable business out there today, especially in urban areas.
At present, people spend more time and money on grooming, so there are many salons, where people pay a large amount for hair cuts , hair styling and related services.
Hair salon business is very competitive in my city. I noted there's a new trend that hair salons just for cutting hair, no shampooing are getting popular here. They charge a very cheap price for just hair cutting.
I think I have boldly post in this thread that before you start any business be it online and offline you must first of all do some niched research saloon business is very profitable but you must know one thing it's depend on the area which you operate the business if you operate the business in a remote area you must definitely have enough client to patronize you
