Do members who invest in shares, invest for profit or to get a regular dividend? Do these members sell their shares frequently to book a profit or hold the shares , hoping that the price of the shares will increase further ?

This is a good strategy to make some quick money, but often the IPO is oversubscribed in some countries. So it is difficult for the applicant to get allotment and also funds are blocked for the period.
