Do you think a Unisex Salon makes more sales than a salon for only one gender?

They always talk about niching your business. Let's look at beauty salons. Is a single gender salon not supposed to be better to run than a unisex salon in the context of niching. Which is more profitable between a unisex salon and a salon that serves only one gender?

I doubt if unisex salon use to make money than one gender salon. I have observed that ladies prefer salon that give them feminine space to gossip and share women's experiences.

Unisex salon can make more sales than single gender salons. Ladies would love to make their hairs where guys are around and would be seeing them.

It depends, in some cases it does not as most persons might not be comfortable. Let's take the girls for example, they might assume you are not skilled enough compared to someone who only does female hair, or they might not be comfortable coming to a place where they might come across other guys.
