As we all know, a car is one property that has to be maintained with money. It provides the convenience of moving easily from one place to another. But maintenance costs for a car can easily spiral and become very high. Do you think an average person having two cars is too much expenses?

Sometimes it depends. because owning two cars is a good solution. If you live in an area with poor public transportation, owning two cars is also a good idea.
What does one really need two cars for when they are just middle class? I don't think it is advisable. Just imagine the two cars all break down at the same time?

I do not see a need for a car for an average individual. Why should they spend on car when they can take public transport. Instead of buying car, why don't they put money on stocks

A car would be necessary for a person that would have to navigate around for business. Apart from that, public transport is okay.

having a car is very convenient but it comes with costs. Fuel, service, and unplanned expenses that always seem to pop up when you least expect.. and all this comes with just having one car, imagine now having two as an ordinary individual. Its extra stressful.

In my opinion, the higher the income, the higher the expenses, so many families have two or more cars, such as a car for the husband to go to the office, a car for the wife to work, etc., it is a reasonable need as long as their income allows them to cover all expenses.

It is just like having a spare shoe to wear incase you are ready to step out and the one you wanted to use isn't working

It depends on the person. If they can afford to buy more than one car, then there is nothing wrong with it. In our case, we had to sell our other car because it was not practical for us.
That's right it is an individual thing if they have the money and see the need to own more why not.

If a person and his family can manage with one car they should as it would decrease cost of maintenance and air pollution.

Well, if you can afford it, and if you travel a lot, a car could be a necessity for you, but for average individual earning not much, even when he is a business owner, car would be unnecessary
