I think they are based on personal experience. When they have a miserable life, they want the people around them to be miserable, too. They are jealous of other people’s achievements and they don’t want them to see happy. Do you think it is true?

It is based on the persons behavior, i know some peoples if their life is miserable or if they don't success in their life they also like to see their friends to fail in life like them.

At times it's might seems miserable people are jealous but it's isn't really their fault. Come to think of it, if someone life is miserable, who knows what he's going on in his life and the steps he trys to take to make it but couldn't, no one could be in such condition and sees his mate being successful that won't be jealous of them .
