When a staff team work together in an office, there is every tendency that the team morale would be enhanced by the emotional connection derived from everyday contact.

Do you think that a remote staff team doesn't allow for such level of team morale?

Furthermore, recognizing achievements and thanking everyone for their efforts helps build an environment of respect and mutual support. Although it's not the same as daily in-person contact, with effort and good practices, a remote team can feel united and motivated. The emotional connection can be maintained and strengthened if everyone does their part, even remotely.
