Why should a woman be submissive? Both the man and the woman have equal rights in a family. If a woman earns more than her husband it doesn't matter if both have understanding between them. One of my sister earns more than her husband but they are living happily.

Husband and wife should respect each other and not have any egos. If we don't have egos financial status would not matter.

It simply could mean the husband comes from a poor or very poor family, while the wife comes from a middle-class or wealthy family. So what? When I met my husband, he hadn't even a single penny to purchase a bus ticket. He comes from a very poor and populated family and during that time almost all his family members were totally broken (unemployed with children, relying on grandparents' pensions or living in a slum, counting on in-laws to have a roof over their heads, etc., etc., etc.), while I came from a middle-class family. We married and I was the breadwinner during many years. Currently, he is earning a small salary, while I'm still more buoyant than him. This circumstance was never an issue.

This mostly depends on the woman in question. Some women are very respectfully even if they are the bride winners for their families for sure.

If you are referring to the traditional roles of men and women, yes definitely, but if you are simply referring to a family imbalance because the man does not have the greater power and the woman does because she earns more money, I think so too but to a much lesser extent and it depends on each case it can be worse or better, although it is obvious that in that case the woman will be the one carrying the flag so to speak and she will have the final decisions, even though the man can advise whether or not.
