Google is the leader in the search engine market. And people always put their efforts optimizing their contents for the Google algorithm. But there are other search engines. In fact, some countries don't even use Google at all. Does it mean that when I optimize for Google algorithm, my content would also be visible on other search engines?

Most search engine claim that they have their own metric but i doubt it. They are using Google's metric to rank sites. Though, this is my observation! I have observed that other search engines use to rank sites almost as Google use to rank them. Therefore, it seems you will achieve the same effect on both search engine if you optimize your site.

Bro I've thought about that too. Many search engines say they have their own metrics but the truth is that many secretly copy Google. Their algorithms are very similar.

If you optimize your site for Google chances are high that it will perform well for Bing Yahoo and others. This is because they consider things like keywords backlinks and user experience.

But it's still important to monitor each engine individually. There are small differences that can have an impact. Don't rely on Google alone. Build your site with real quality.
