Does your family have a general family contribution?

My family has set up a general family contribution. All my extended cousins have all been keyed in. We are to contribute $1 every month to the general family fund. And every family member that has a birthday gets $15 from that account.

No, we do not have this practice. It's good if all family members are getting along very well and like this idea.

For the truth of the matter is that my family doesn't have something like that at all. What we normally do as a family is that we come together to do a crowd funding activity when there is an urgent needy for money by one of our family member.
