Does your family have a narrative about you that they repeat to everyone?

My parents used to find stories to share with their acquaintances or distant relatives whenever I was a child. But as I grew older, the stories came to an end, making life less prosperous and the old tales uninteresting to new generations. Do your parents now tell everyone a story about you?

When i was born, my father said that he was arrested and detained for 6 days by Nigerian police. According to father, he was arrested because he was coming back late without knowing there is robbery incident in the neighborhood. He was released when he told the DPO that his wife gave birth that very night. And the police went to the hospital to verify.

Hahaha, it's pretty common with parents, and the worse part is that most of the narratives are usually embarrassing.

As a matter of fact, our parents, the baby boomers, typically do such a thing. Including the not-so-good ones, they tell other people about us. LOL
