In Bengaluru a maid thrashed a pet puppy on the lift floor that killed the puppy. The maid was arrested. I think the owner of the puppy should be fined too. If they didn't have time to look after their pet why at all did they bring the pet puppy home to leave it in the care of a maid who killed it purposefully as shown in the video of NDTV.

Personally, I think the situation is very sad and reflects a great deal of irresponsibility on the part of the puppy's owners. When you decide to have a pet, you also assume the responsibility of caring for and protecting it, not only in happy times but also in difficult situations. The fact that the employee acted violently and caused the puppy's death is clearly reprehensible, but I also wonder if the owners were attentive enough or if they took the necessary steps to ensure their pet's safety. You can't simply blame the employee without questioning whether the conditions in which they left the puppy were adequate. The protection and well-being of animals must be a priority, and if someone cannot care for a pet, perhaps they should reconsider whether it's appropriate to have one at home. The responsibility lies not only with the employee but also with the owners.

That's what I am saying. A owner should take care of his pet himself and not leave it to care of a servant. Servants may not like pets.

This Bengaluru story is very painful. The maid who killed the puppy in the lift is completely heartless and her arrest is justified. But the owner also bears the burden because a pet is not a toy, it is a big responsibility. If you don't have time to take good care of it, don't bring it home and leave it to a heartless person. Pets depend on full attention and protection and if you ignore that, it is negligence. Ownership boundaries must be strict otherwise tragedies like this happen and justice should be served to both.

That's true. The owner should be punished along with the maid.

Absolutely, pets need love and attention from their owners, not just hired help.
