According to the report, UAE-based defense conglomerate EDGE has completed a field trial of the MIRSAD-X, a multi-spectral surveillance and targeting system capable of seeing across visible and invisible light.
The report stated that the system can detect, identify, and localize targets in real-time using its electro-optical imager. It also supports laser targeting for guided munitions with a gyro-stabilized base for steady tracking.
The report added that MIRSAD-X is compatible with various ground and maritime platforms, enabling precise targeting for both naval and land units.
EDGE said the recent trial, held at its multi-domain testing facility, verified the system’s tracking and localization capabilities under rugged conditions.
