It's interesting to see Europe talking more about doing its own thing, separate from the US. I think the big thing here is that European leaders are waking up to the fact that relying too much on Washington isn't always the best idea these days. I find it kind of cool that this shows a change in how things are seen – Europe wants to handle its own defense, energy, and trade. What's kind of surprising is that even with strong ties to the US, they are having some very public disagreements on politics and money. I think the best result would be if Europe can find a good middle ground: stay friends with the US but also have its own opinions and say. Things like this could change how Europe is seen in the world, making it more of a leader instead of always following someone else.
