Exchange or Wallet

Do you exchange for sending, receiving and storing crypto assets or do you use a wallet for storing, sending and receiving crypto funds? Well, I mostly use exchanges. That's because exchanges offer trading, conversion, as well as exchange feature. In order to minimise risk and market volatility I also use wallets. What about you.

I also use an exchange platform. It's a lot easier, since I mostly transfer my earnings to our local currency.

I like to use more self-custody wallets, and if they have exchange options or buy in the wallet itself I like it even more, the problem is that when a wallet has the option to buy it is usually with KYC, so that point is not so good hehe.

I use crypto exchanges as wallets too. Since Binance is very robust, I don't have any fears that it would close down with my assets.

I have realized that most wallets are very effective in doing the business activities associated with the cryptocurrency.

I only keep crypto on exchanges as much as I will trade not to hoard crypto, not all crypto exchanges insure their funds. So I prefer to keep crypto in wallets either hot, apps or hardware wallets.

I just always feel comfortable leaving my crypto on Binance even more than Trust Wallet. It is just the confidence that the platform has built amongst users though.

Depends on how tech savvy one is.

In my case, I go through a crypto exchange (Coinbase) which is where I keep my crypto investments.
Why? (a) I'm not very tech savvy and (b) given the strong regulatory structure the U.S. has w/regards to financial investments, I trust that if something happens, I will get my invested portion back from the U.S. government if the worst were to happen.

I use exchange, and let me share my recent experience so others can get benefit. I do have my Bitcoin cash wallet in which I had $.07 Bitcoin cash and nearly $3 worth Bitcoin. Few days before when I opened my wallet I found zero Bitcoin. History shows as I send $980 to somewhere but I never had that much amount. I suspect responsible people of that wallet. So never trust on them they do have our seed code too. Hacking chances are very low. My plan was to take much more amount in this wallet but now I am extra cautious. Customer support did nothing.

One can use a combination of both exchanges and wallets. Exchanges are great for trading and converting between different cryptos. And, secure wallets are useful for long-term storage.
