Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has disclosed that the federal government is set to develop a national policy on bullying to address the issue of students being bullied across schools in Nigeria.

This comes after many cases of bullying went viral and elicited outrage from parents im Nigeria

He stated this on Wednesday, Dec. 11, in an interview with journalists after a meeting with principals of Federal Government Unity Colleges in Abuja. he concluded that policy on bullying would be developed at the next National Council on Education.

"We will not tolerate, accept any bullying in any of our schools and in our society. What we’re doing now is that we’re formalising a policy that we will take to the highest policy-making organ in the country.

That's a good move. Bullying is an act of tormenting the victim causing him or her to commit suicide just to end his or her agony and suffering emotionally and mentally. Bullying must be condemned .

Nigeria always has nice policies but no political will to implement them and get the desired results because heads may roll.
This is just the sad truth, they don't follow up to see of the laws they have placed is being followed or not. That is why we have so many policies but Notting is working.

Nigeria government is good in stating theories and what they will do and at the end of the day, nothing is done or achieved. Nigeria government should try to what they say. Many projects commissioned and nothing to show for it.
