Food is draining most of the people's money

Food can drain people's money through a combination of factors including high food prices, food waste, and choices that prioritize convenience over cost-effectiveness
It depends because some people if they leave with their families doesn't get affected with prices unlike leaving alone or far from the family.

Yeah that's if you are still single but if you have a family you can't just jump and pass it at all.

Preparing food at home could reduce the cost little bit.
My husband and I always prepare our food at home. We purchased our meals on delivery only when there is an emergency (we were forced to purchase from a restaurant that in any way is cheap, when we both had caught a COVID variant last April, as none of us was healthy enough to cook).

That sounds good.

This complicates little bit the situation.
Yes, it does. The middle class and poor can't afford the high price of vegetables and non veg and therefore have to eat frugally.

They go to frit and these unhealthy food because they are little cheap.

Due to those shamefully high prices, I stopped purchasing tomatoes, garlic and onions. And I rarely purchase apples. Despite my husband and me always preparing our food at home, this strategy isn't enough. We need to get rid of the most expensive items. Especially considering we can't go too cheap, as fried cheap food results in being poisonous to my severe IBS and my husband cannot take risks related to his high blood pressure.

I'm always in search of sales when I go to supermarkets and I compare prices of the same items in different supermarkets (and grocery stores). Sometimes, to get the sales, I go to more than one supermarket on the same day (looking for sale not only on food: also house cleaning products, laundry soap, etc.).
