For a business to get staff working efficiently, does every staff need to know how much the CEO and other staff earn?

Transparency is one thing about business they say is very important. It even fizzles down to the staff management.

In the light of transparency, does every staff deserve to know how much the CEO and other staff in the organisation earn? Is there a danger to that information being available to every staff?

As long as this information does not benefit them in anyway, i don't really see a need for them to have access to this information though.

I see that salary issues given everyone can bring mixed vibes. Some get motivated, others feel bad. Workplace balance be vibrant or disrupted. Transparency is cool, but control is also needed.

I feel if the CEO is not exploiting the staff, it should not be a difficult thing to let the staff know how much the CEO is paid.

It is unethical for an employee to ask how much the CEO earns. He is the CEO, and most CEO's are owners, so the employees have in mind that the salary of the CEO is something they cannot imagine. They have to be thankful, they are hired.

I don't know for other people but I am very open. My staff knows how much comes to me at every cycle. I don't want her having wrong perception.
